When a bankrupt renounces citizenship in your country, what happens, when born overseas?

You would be considered stateless and would join the ranks of stateless refugees, unless you are deemed mentally unable to make such a renunciation. If you try to renounce without legal citizenship to another country, you may very well be found mentally unable to make that decision. Statelessness isn't something that people choose. It's something that they can't control.
