Do you think this is rude?

So i was talking to my friends friend on facebook and he mentioned something about "us white people" and i said "lol i'm not white :p" hes like "oh what are you then cus you look white..." and i told him i'm middle eastern and then he says how he doesnt date egyptians, muslims or indians because it feels weird and im like wow ummm i'm lebanese and im a catholic/christian he says still arabs and indians smell.. i'm like wow did he really just say that?... and i told him thats not true, thats a stereotype not all of them smell, and im pretty sure other nationalitys can smell as well?.. I thought that was kinda messed up and then he asks me what kinda music i likes and i told him like clic rock, punk rock, new wave, metal , like ac/dc the clash the who etc and hes like ewwwww old music.... and i told him "so,just cus theyre old doesnt mean theyre not good" ... and then he tells me he likes screamo/emo etc im like ok..He really pissed me off.
