Was I overly rude? im a first time mom?

I was at the dr's office for my 2 week old sons appt and I met a really nice young woman there who had a four month old and we began talking. my baby started to cry b.c he was hungry and tired so I was trying to soothe him and this woman offered me her sons pacifier I know she was trying to be nice but iwasnt sure if it was used or not so iwas like no i will just take him to the bathroom to feed him then she offered me formula after itold her we were feeding. i again said no and went to the bathroom I came back and she wouldnt talk to me anymore. Im sure her babywas clean and wasnt sick but ihave to be safe esp with someone i dont know. I feel lke a bi&ch.
