What religion were the 3 Wise Men?

God would not have wasted his time guiding them all the way to the manger/barn if the wise men had not been seekers of truth without bias. And there was 3 or more wise men, not necessarily 3. Obviously God answered their heart's desire for truth and to bless this king of God. They returned this knowledge to their people. I think that's all we know about it for sure. Also, keep in mind that God and angels at this time were very active in informing people about Jesus through dreams and visions. uming the Magi were Godly/righteous, they may have been told about him and that such and such point of light would guide them to him.
